Orum, a sales acceleration platform, received $25 million in a Series A funding round led by Craft Ventures. The round brings the company’s total funds raised to $29 million since its inception in 2018.
Orum’s AI-powered platform is designed to enable sales reps to enter live conversations with target prospects in less than a minute. The company also helps users integrate its sales tools for a more comprehensive sales tech stack and optimized workflows.
The company partners with sales engagement platforms such as Outreach, Salesforce and SalesLoft to provide reps with the materials they need to create tailored, high-value buyer-seller interactions. Orum will use the additional funding to expand its partnerships with these platforms, creating an activity engine that helps users drive success with outbound sales workflows.
“Live conversation is the cornerstone of sales development,” said Jason Dorfman, Co-founder and CEO of Orum, in a statement. “Companies are forced to hire dozens of sales reps to create the activity required to hit their pipeline goals, but with a less than 5% pick-up rate, these entry-level sales roles are miserable and ineffective. As more customers digitize their sales process, the need to go beyond platforms that just track and manage employees to software that augments rep activity is the future.”
Over the past year, Orum experienced a 290% increase in enterprise customers and a 380% increase in annual recurring revenue since its seed round in 2020. During the seed stage, Orum heavily invested in customer success and products, releasing a free version of its technology and the ability to automatically navigate dial-by-name directories.
